ATB Morton was thrilled to partner with Hunter Bible Church to deliver a custom designed, alterations and addition expansion to an existing church facility in Garden Suburb.
The project consisted of detailed design development and revised development consent plans through to construction approvals and certifications to create a large clear open span lounge area adjacent to an existing church auditorium space.
The goal was to provide a fresh supplementary space to the existing church auditorium area to present a new formal entrance and gathering location for community based activities. The new lounge area leads off the existing auditorium and features distinct raised ceilings which open up from the lower intimate auditorium space to reveal an open welcoming space filled with light and views to the surrounding perimeter deck, feature awnings & site landscaping. The new lounge space incorporates breakout areas, storage locations and communal amenities space all directly accessible off the perimeter deck.
In addition to the new community lounge space, the need for secure storage was identified and a new church storage space delivers on the needs for this growing community organisation.
The upgrade to the site included new stormwater, incoming power upgrades and fire services to suit the expanded facility. Additional onsite car parking was delivered as part of the revamp of this community asset.
Contemporary colours, surfaces, textures and materials finish off this revamped facility providing a modern and fresh space befitting it’s new residents.
