Project Description
ATB Morton was engaged to deliver a land & build, design and construction project for the first NSW based aluminium extrusion facility for Star Property Investments. This unique project called for lot consolidation and incoming services upgrades and the design & construction of a variety of purpose built specialist manufacturing facilities covering;
- 10,500sqm of aluminium extrusion and warehousing space
- 3,000sqm retailing warehouse space
- 440sqm Head Office space
- 230sqm Retail Office space
- 11,200sqm external concrete pavement
The project included detailed construction of all specialist extrusion line foundation and footings to support the dual extrusion line manufacturing process. A separate retail warehouse premises was constructed adjacent to the main manufacturing facility to support separate business streams.
A dedicated head office and manufacturing operations base was constructed with the main manufacturing facility while a secondary office was constructed to support the retail operations.
The site included significant electrical infrastructure investment and upgrades to provide the required private high voltage network to support the extrusion line operations.
The facility includes two wide clear span industrial spaces with overhead crane for maintenance and material movements.
Utilising the ATB Morton Group’s range of vertically integrated businesses across building design & approvals, project management, site management and field teams, steel & precast manufacturing, pre-mixed concrete, civil precast products & coatings; ATB Morton was able to deliver the project with significant re-risking of procurement for our client. At all critical aspects throughout project delivery, the ATB Morton project team maintained control to be able to adapt to client changes and drive program efficiencies.
