Project Description
Volgren’s Tomago based workshop and office space was an award winner for ATB Morton. We won the MBA 2010 excellence in building awards for this project topping off at a cost of over $2 million.
Volgren came to us with the brief to create a space in which they could facilitate their contract with Volvo and the state transit Authority to manufacture 150 ‘bendy’ buses. The total building was 8774sqm and was completed within 8 months. When meeting the needs of our client we were conscious of designing a ‘future proof’ development. The design was able to be reconfigured to suit future potential users, as was the site layout, which allowed for multiple site occupiers if the need arose.
