Last Friday, we participated in the Ronald McDonald House Newcastle Big Brekkie program, with six of us from across various divisions of the ATB Morton Group arriving at the Newcastle House, bright and early, ready to cook breakfast for the families.
Attending the house is a heartwarming and humbling experience, meeting the families is truly rewarding and helps to bring your own life into perspective. What may seem like a simple breakfast for us, is a home cooked meal for them, a small element of normality amongst an otherwise stressful and unsettling time.
We’re looking forward to participating in more Meals from the Heart programs at Ronald McDonald House Newcastle and giving more of our employees the opportunity to be involved.
