Last week we participated in the Ronald McDonald House Newcastle Meals from the Heart program, with eight of us from across various divisions of the ATB Morton Group arriving at the Newcastle House, groceries in hand, ready to cook up a storm and present the families with dinner for the night.
It was a heartwarming and humbling experience, met with immense gratefulness from the families living away from home while their children receive life saving treatment at the John Hunter Hospital.
Our team would highly recommend the Meals from the Heart program to other local businesses looking to make a difference and we look forward to returning to the kitchen to cook breakfast early in the new year.
