Project Overview:

ATB Morton was engaged to deliver a land & build, design and construction project for the first NSW regional servicing facility for SEW Eurodrive. This new Hunter based facility located in the Tomago Manufacturing & Trade Hub at Epsom Drive off Tomago Road, will deliver SEW Eurodrive’s class leading industrial solutions and products to service the local Newcastle, Hunter and Central Coast markets with their trademark superior component sales and servicing generating fresh employment opportunities for the people of Port Stephens and the Hunter.

The project consisted of the lands sale and subsequent design and construction of this purpose built facility. Featuring large clear span workshop space with dedicated dirty disassembly and clean assembly zones serviced by four 20t overhead cranes, two 2t free standing pedestal jib cranes, & two half tonne wall mounted jib cranes. The unique operations required a custom designed facility that was tailored to SEW Eurodrive’s operational requirements to undertake combined 40t lifts simultaneously in both workshop bays. The facility includes a dedicated isolated testing area with sophisticated level platform to the highest tolerances.

The facility also boasts a unique footprint and holds pride of place at the entry of Epsom Drive. SEW Eurodrive required a façade design for their office & showroom areas that captured the elegance of their products and whilst being both simple but distinctive.
